VT finally got hit with a good one. It was scaring me when you over hear folks talk about "getting in to shape for summer" and "dooood, I can't wait to ride my bike". That just ain't cool when it is February and all I wanna do is shred powder on your snowboard, but I can't blame them --- this winter has been a dud in my book! Well, apparently Farmer's Almanac called it and Ma' Nature came around. We got smacked with a heavy snowfall over the pass couple days and when I say heavy, I mean deep AND heavy. One shovel full was enough to break a man's back.
The photo, courtesy of Boltonvalley.com, is a testament to the depths. Their quirky marketing folks had this to say: We're now measuring snow totals in Volkswagens. For example: ''Today's base depths are 0.75 to 1.20 Volkswagens''. It's just easier that way.
I'm looking forward to a storm where we can say "Today's depths are .75 to 1.20 Ford Expeditions". Keep your fingers crossed for a doozy of a March.
